The Company: Green Park Adventure Sdn. Bhd. – was registered in 2000 and it’s dedicated to the nature - offer eco-tourism & adventure tours. The business began as a budget hotel - the Green Park Guesthouse in Jerantut in 1995, offering backpackers and budget-travelers bed & breakfast accommodation and providing them with information & knowledge, before they're even in Taman Negara. In 1999, I designed and introduced the 3 days 2 nights jungle trekking in Taman Negara, which is bring people for a long jungle trekking, camping and even spend a night in the limestone cave, and later designed a more impressive tour (similar to this) in Kenong Rimba Park.
The Crew: gpat @ Green Park Adventure Team is a group of seasoned tour guides who lead all of our tours. All are very well trained and had been in the field for more than 5 years. We are the one that you can trust for your nature and adventure experience in Malaysia. We concern the nature and understand well the philosophy policy of the eco-tourism and responsible travel
The Founder: I'm AZAM Abdul Rahman – the founder of Green Park Adventure Sdn. Bhd - born in Kampong Kuala Tahan (Taman Negara base camp). My late father who was a 'game warden' (Park Ranger) was the first person who introduced me to the jungle and ever since, I grew-up with nature surrounding that makes me love it so much and want to share my appreciation with others.
I involved in tourism industry since 1978 as a part time Trail Guide, which leads people to the mountain ‘Gunung Tahan’ and trails around KualaTahan. I worked for ‘River Park Sdn. Bhd’ in Kuala Tahan as an Information Officer / Recreation Department in 1987 to 1988 before being a Camp Coordinator for Wilderness Camp ‘Nusa Camp’ from 1989 - 1991. Holding a Tourist Guide Licenses TG 3091 and NTG 5557 awarded by Ministry Of Tourism. Later, being a President of Pahang Tourist Guide Association from 2002 to 2005.
I attached to ‘Las Och Res’ – travel agency base in Stockholm, Sweden as a Tour Leader – travel around Malaysia since 1993. These gave me more experience and knowledge about tourism industry so do the Malaysia’s tourist destination. I’m specialized in Off The Beaten Track Jungle Trekking and other Eco-tourism activities including the Homestay Program.
